Copa, as the locals call it is an honest, down-to-earth Aussie coastal suburb. The suburb is geographically very small, nestled between hills, a valley & lake at the back, & the ocean beach out front.
The beautiful beach is relaxed and never gets too crowded even during the holiday season.
Staying here you feel like a throwback to the sleepy beach town of 30 years ago.
There are a few local shops around where you can get your basics and some lovely coffee shops. If you need anything else you are a short drive 20 minutes drive away from 2 major shopping centers.
The place is a cosmopolitan mix of relaxed looking locals, surfers young & old, tourists from all places, holiday-home owners & young families trying to soak up as much of the atmosphere as humanly possible come Monday morning.
Transit
You are best off arriving by car, but once you get here, you'll probably prefer to chill at the house, stroll down to the beach or go for a hike.

Copa is a lovely suburb but hilly. From the beach it’s a steep but short walk back to the house. The views from the house will repay you for your efforts.
Safety: The house is split over 3 levels. This means there are some stairs to navigate in the house. This should be easy for most but if stairs are a problem for you, we ask you to carefully consider if the house is the right fit for you.
