Summary: We stayed for a week over Christmas so we could be near family. Not being from Chicago, l really appreciated being able to have a parking space. Hotel quality linens - pillows were fluffy, the sheets were super soft, and the comforter was just right. Even in winter and technically being a basement the temperature was nice and comfortable. Yes, I could hear footsteps upstairs but it didn't bother us - it's not like there are kids running back and forth for hours. It was only occasionally people moving around the house. I also didn't hear it late at night at all. We also didn't hear any "city noise" from outside. We were given great directions about getting there but when we did have a question, the host was responsive almost immediately. Nothing here is luxury BUT it also isn't cheap crap that you frequently find in vacation rentals. I felt that the price we paid for what we got was very reasonable. We would certainly stay here (or with this host) again in the future.
