Positive: Our family of five had the most amazing and peaceful stay at Saffron and Blue during the end of March and early April, and we can't recommend it enough for those looking for the ultimate relaxing getaway in Sri Lanka. This villa truly provided the perfect sanctuary for unwinding and recharging. From the moment we arrived, the exceptional staff made us feel completely at ease. Kumudu went above and beyond, ensuring all our needs were met and offering expert advice on where to go. He took care of every detail, allowing us to simply relax and enjoy our time. The food was an absolute highlight, and even our picky eaters—our kids—loved every meal. Chaminda, the head chef, was simply brilliant. He cooked everything from delicious Sri Lankan curries to garlic spaghetti, BBQ prawns, grilled fish, and even lobster. The kids enjoyed everything, and we ended up requesting the green salad every night, which they devoured. Breakfasts were always a treat, and the variety kept us looking forward to every meal. Sanjeewa, another wonderful chef, was kind enough to take us on his tuk tuk to run errands, and Rajeeva was always on hand to help with anything we needed, ensuring the house was spotless and that we had everything we required. Kulicere, the gardener, kept the gardens, pool area, and plants in immaculate condition, adding to the villa's serene and relaxing ambiance. The villa itself is spacious, comfortable, and designed for relaxation. With four large bedrooms (though it can easily accommodate more), we had plenty of room to stretch out. The true charm of this place is the seamless indoor-outdoor living that makes it feel like an oasis. We spent hours by the pool, which is stunning and the perfect size for family fun, and the beautiful garden provided a peaceful setting for unwinding.
