We are very excited to welcome guests to Teifi cottage. The cosy cottage is characterful and previously formed part of the dairy farm. Built from local stone, Teifi cottage has some wonderful features throughout with some modern additions to allow guests to enjoy the best of both worlds. The open plan kitchen/ dining area is the newest addition to the cottage allowing guests to take in the breathtaking views across the Black mountains and Carreg Cennen castle.
Teifi cottage has been thoughtfully furnished with comfort in mind. The property sleeps up to 4 guests (one king and one twin bedroom). Downstairs, there will be food/ water bowls for your pet to use during their stay.
The cottage sits in the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Black Mountains are a 10 minute drive away with stunning views and walks. Carreg Cennen castle is a 10 minute walk up the hill from the cottage. Whether you choose to explore by car or on foot, you will not be disappointed with the views and setting of Teifi Cottage.
Ground floor:
Entrance hallway leads to the open plan kitchen/ dining room as well as the downstairs shower room and living room.
The modern kitchen/ dining room is generously sized, and kitted out for home dining. Use of appliances include an oven, induction hob, fridge freezer, washer dryer, dishwasher and wine cooler. Smaller appliances include a microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso machine, and food processor. The large dining table is perfect for those who want to work from the cottage too; the cottage benefits from Superfast fibre broadband.
Here you can enjoy views across the countryside from the large dining table, whilst also bringing the outside in by being able to open the bi - folding doors which open out into the private patio and garden.
For stays during the colder months, underfloor heating within this area will provide additional comfort for guests.
The modern downstairs bathroom is well equipped with large walk in shower, WC and sink.
The living room is cosy and comfortable with plenty of seating for all to relax. There are two, two seater sofas as well as a single arm chair and footrest. There is a smart TV in the living area with a DVD player and guests are welcome to use the DVDs which we have but also more than welcome to bring their own to use.
First floor:
The first floor can be accessed from the living room. There is a second bathroom on the first floor with a bathtub.
The twin bedroom benefits from a spacious in built wardrobe for storage.
The master bedroom has a chest of drawers as well as bedside cabinets. You will also find some reading books which again you are more than welcome to enjoy.
Both bedrooms benefit from original cottage features.
Parking is available at the property. There is a large gravel hardstanding at the front of the property with wooden gates. There is space for three cars here and entrance to the cottage is via the small wooden gate which leads on to the front area. There is a sign for 'Teifi Cottage' on the gate.
You will have access to the entire cottage. I won't be around in person but I have help managing my property from Pass the Keys. Catherine & Ainsley live locally and will be on hand to support you during your stay should you have any questions. Teifi Cottage is professionally cleaned and the linen/ towels are replaced with freshly laundered supplies between each stay. Remote self check-in gives flexibility for late arrivals and 24/7 guest support is on hand should you need any assistance during your stay.
There will be some complimentary tea/ coffee waiting for you which I am sure will be useful for those arriving after a long journey.
Guests have access to the entire property. The address as well as a link for what3words will be sent to guests prior to travelling.
Parking-
There is plenty of space for at least three cars at the property. As you turn in to the drive, there will be a gravelled area for you to park away from the road.
Check in/ Check out-
Check in time is after 4pm and check out time is before 10am. A ยฃ30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this could cause disruption for other guests checking in.
Please note that you will be charged ยฃ100 for lost keys.
Travel cot/ High chair- A travel cot and mattress are available to borrow upon request, subject to availability, and at an additional cost of ยฃ20. Please ensure you message beforehand so that we can arrange for these to be delivered to the property ahead of your arrival. Guests will need to bring their own cot bedding, including a bottom sheet.
Strictly only 2 dogs per stay.
Note that the property is a traditional cottage and therefore has traditional features such as changes in floor level between rooms and exposed beams.

There will be some complimentary tea/ coffee waiting for you which I am sure will be useful for those arriving after a long journey! Fresh white bedding is provided (hand towel and bath towel per person) as well as miniature travel-sized bottles of shower gel and shampoo. Other items include a washing up sponge, one toilet roll per bathroom and kitchen roll (These are complimentary so do not expect these to be in excess as they are only to start your holiday off as the accommodation is self-catering).
IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.
The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
