Summary: Not horrible if you are used to staying at the worst of the Tenderloin. The area is high volume drug trafficing. Very loud with street action during the weekend. It seemed safe inside the room, although the bolt lock did not work. I reserved a room with a private bathroom, but when I got there no such room was available. The employees I encountered did not speak English very well (although they were all very nice). On a three night stay my room key was invalidated twice and I had to work it out with the solo staff member on site each time. I wasn't killed. None of my property was stolen. The bugs in the room and bed were slow and easily squished. I've stayed all over San Fransisco and never paid over $100. This one was $50 a night and the least acceptable of any I have stayed at in this extremely cheap price range.
