Welcome to the Grand Canal View Beach Retreat! This waterfront/canal home with separate mother-in-law suite is in the heart of St. Augustine Beach, with your own wrap-around deck with views of your canal that leads to the Intercoastal. You can fish right from your backyard or take a 10-minute stroll to a beach walkover and enjoy all that Crescent Beach has to offer. The separate mother-in-law suite located on the ground floor is great for additional family. It has it's own private kitchenette and private bathroom and shower. It is not part of the central air upstairs and has its own separate window unit.
Evenings outside are so relaxing as there are plenty of Adirondack chairs both on the wrap-around deck or waterfront in the yard. Just sit back and enjoy the view and the breeze. Some of the highlights guests will enjoy include a private walkway to the beach, an outdoor shower for washing off the sand, high-speed Wi-Fi, a fully-equipped kitchen with all the essentials, and a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer.
You will feel miles away from the stresses of daily life, yet you will be close to so much. It is a quick 20 min. drive to get into the heart of historic St. Augustine, with its restaurants, shops, museums, and pedestrian mall. Marineland is only five miles to the south. The quaint town of Flagler Beach is 30 minutes to the south. Disney World and Universal are only two hours away. The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill.
The history of St. Augustine is incomparable with almost any other on our coast. Founded in 1565 it is chock full of amazing places to visit, from the oldest house to the first schoolroom, to the impenetrable fort built by the Spanish. Lincolnville, just south of downtown St. Augustine takes you on a walking tour of the history of the civil rights movement noting where Martin Luther King stayed on numerous occasions. Needless to say, thereโ€™s also so many unique shops, and the restaurants are so varied and truly have an international flavor! There are things to do no matter the weather! You can take a free boat ride to Fort Matanzas and learn the history about the battles fought. Further south is Marineland where you can swim with dolphins!
There are always concerts at St. Augustine Amphitheatre and events at Francis Field as well. You will never run out of things to do here in St. Augustine. It is probably one of the most beautiful places in all of Florida, and for sure one of the most photographed! Come and see for yourself!
The location of this property makes it convenient to most local points of interest and the value canโ€™t be beat for the amount of space! You will be able to check-in with ease with the keycode we provide just before your stay, no keys to lose! Our properties are professionally maintained and cleaned.
Pets and Service Animals: You must let us know if you are bringing an animal to the home, even if it is a service animal! It's important to let the cleaners know. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a nonrefundable pet fee. They must be less than 50lbs each and no aggressive breeds. NO CATS! Please do not allow your dogs to jump up onto the beds or couches. If the dogs are accustomed to being allowed on the furniture at home, please bring blankets to protect the surfaces. If you forget to bring blankets, let us know and we will provide you with some. If you bring a pet and do not tell us or pay the fee, we will charge your damage deposit for the pet fee plus $100 for the unexpected extra services required to clean the house.
The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you. Garbage and recycling must be taken out to the street Sunday night for Monday morning pickup.
We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. Please purchase trip insurance for your stay if this is a concern.
Per St Johns County regulations, only ten people are allowed per rental, not counting children 12-years-old or younger. That means this property is allowed up to 10 adults and the rest of the guests must be 12 and under.

Summary: We all loved the house, location, access to the beach, the view is awesome. We were there for a month. The hosts were great to work with. Responded very quickly. The refrigerator in the in-law-suite broke and the hosts were very quick getting another one I know the owner and/or host do not live in the house and may not be aware of some of these issues. We would love to rent this house again, but it has several issues that would need to be addressed. The grill was not usable We were not left with any cleaning supplies. We bought a swifter and supplies, which we took with us This house needs a lot of TLC. The stairs to go up to the main part of the house are rioting and the hand rails are loose and falling apart. The railings on the wraparound porch need repaired and wraparound porch could use a good power washing or repainting. The middle bedroom bed upstairs and the one downstairs in the in-law-law suite are very uncomfortable. The couches upstairs are very uncomfortable and small (loveseat) not couches The setting in the living room is terrible. There are no end tables, lamps, or coffee table to put a drink on. A nice kitchen. However, we had to buy a large skillet and a sheet pan. We took them home with us. We only had 2 teaspoons upstairs and downstairs. We bought more and we did leave them there. We bought some larger coffee cups, which we took with us. There are no dressers in any of the rooms. There are just some cubbies to put clothes in.
