Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The hotel is full of character and faded grandeur. The room was large and comfortable, clean with good views. One of the receptionists - Bedirhan was exceptional and repeatedly went above and beyond to help us with several different problems. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. So pleased we picked this quirky, characterful place.
Negative: Quite bizarrely there was a fridge and a kettle just inside the room but with no power outlet! We were able to move the kettle to a power outlet but the fridge...........??? The hotel is down an unfinished road and the immediate surroundings are rather sketchy and run down. The hotel looks so grand and imposing, which is rather incongruous.
Summary: A quirky, characterful hotel with some exceptional staff.
