We offer you a renovated gite in the heart of Besse, close to the shuttle service for Super Besse, and Beffroi. The gite is located in the ramparts of Besse; it has an entrance overlooking the south-facing terrace, a large kitchen-dining room, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (with bathtub and shower), a paved courtyard with freestones, and a small garden.
The gite is equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, TV, DVD player, and it includes Wi-Fi. At the entrance, there is a ski room. The gite is being ranked.

Fourth room: Entrance, around 15 sq. m, south facing.

The gite is located in a private property in the old Besse. The entrance is completely independent from the main part of the house, and it is on the same level of the living area that has a view of the gardens of old Besse on one side and of the ramparts and Beffroi on the other. The bedrooms are on an intermediate level, in relation to the living room, and they have charming views of the old village. There is an internet area in the hallway outside the bedrooms.
The outdoor photos show different views from several rooms in the gite, and sites close by foot (less than 50 m) from the gite.
Garage/ Parking spaces: The courtyard can also be used as a parking space. In winter, we recommend parking the car in front of the gate so you are not trapped in by the snow.
In summer, a peaceful garden in the ramparts of the village is the place where you can cook a barbecue, have a nap, or simply do nothing...

Summary: This is a renovated property with an idiosyncratic layout - basically in two different buildings connected by an interior, private corridor. The house was very clean and the private parking space was very welcome. The bedrooms were good size, but both faced on to the town square which made them noisy, even with windows closed. The bathroom was huge, but with a doorway that you had to bend down to pass through (under 5'6"). The kitchen had all sorts of fancy gadgets, but no lids for the pots. There was one small sofa that seated two - other seating was upright plastic chairs. There was an unexpected cleaning charge of 60 euros that was not mentioned in the original listing - and that we only learned of a few days before our arrival. On the plus side, the outdoor space would be lovely in warmer weather and Besse is a charming town that makes a very good center for local sightseeing.
