Positive: The Casita at Can Còdol de Fluvià is simply incredible! From the moment you arrive, you can see the attention to detail in the fine finishing of the interior, with a modern layout and amenities. The kitchen is professional-grade, with a gas stove and fully-equipped for cooking gourmet meals. There is a private, outdoor patio, with a table and chairs for you to enjoy drinks or meals in the sunshine. I especially enjoyed cooking on the charcoal barbeque that was provided. Jean Paul and Inge were amazing hosts, providing everything from fresh eggs from their chickens to helpful recommendations of places to go and restaurants for dining. They were attentive to every need and so welcoming, making you feel right at home. The location is perfect for daytrips—a few minutes from the beaches of Sant Pere Pescador where you can enjoy a stroll along the Bay of Roses. Only 45 minutes by car to the picturesque seaside village of Cadaqués. The medieval villages of Empordà make for interesting daytrips. There is no shortage of activities to enjoy! Leave the car at home and take a ride on the free bikes provided by Jean Paul and Inge. A nearby path runs along a the El Fluvià River—you can walk or ride for kilometers and enjoy the natural beauty of the region. There is so much to see and do nearby. But mostly you’ll want to make time to relax and enjoy the comfort of the Casita—it is truly an oasis. Can Còdol de Fluvià is the ultimate country retreat.
