Inside, everything is on the ground floor with one step into the open plan living, dining and kitchen area. There is an open fireplace for those chillier nights plus Smart TV and Wi-fi, and a glazed stable door that leads directly out on to a private south-facing courtyard garden and an outdoor wood burner/barbecue โ the perfect spot on a summer or winter's evening. The owner thoughtfully provides complementary shampoo, essentials and a hairdryer.
The village green is located a 2-minute walk along a footpath. There you will find the 16th-century pub (with garden) that serves lunch and dinner. The pub is a starting point for numerous walks, cycle, and bridle paths. Black Down, the highest point in the National Park, with its pine and heather covered slopes made famous by Tennyson, is immediately accessible on foot. Next to the village green is the recreation ground (with pavilion and outside cafรฉ).
