Enjoy a relaxing stay at our 500 acre working horse and hobby farm! Set next to the bubbling Little Wolftever Creek and surrounded by horse pastures, the sleek 20' Airstream Safari sleeps 1-3 guests and includes private creek access, a cozy firepit with wood, a picnic table, and trees for hammocking. Guests are welcome to be a part of many farm activities, from milking to trail rides (available Sun-Fri, schedule in advance) or simply "be".
The space
The Airstream is a cozy, warm space that includes a kitchenette with basic necessities, microwave, dining table (can be made into a twin bed), toilet/shower combo, small refrigerator/freezer, heating and air, and an outdoor picnic/firepit area next to the creek. Farm boarders and trail rides may occasionally pass by, and pastured horses may occasionally beg for a scratch over the fence. The Norfolk-Southern railroad is also a stone's throw away (our farm used to be a railway stop during the 1800's), so you might appreciate ear plugs at night if you're a light sleeper or consider another site at the farm farther from the rumble of the train. Note that access to the Airstream involves driving past our busy barn area--please be prepared to drive slowly and be alert for people, animals, and horses in the path!
Other things to note
PET OWNERS: Please note that many of our smaller farm animals free range during the day, including two farm dogs. These dogs are herd animals, and while generally friendly, they are protective of "their" farm and will assert dominance to strange animals and people. Please keep your pets leashed at all times, and we recommend that you don't take them to the barn area or to milking at the the private residence.
TRAIL RIDES: If you would like to schedule a guided trail ride during your stay, please contact Hidden Hills Farm & Saddle Club' main farm number. We have limited ride times, so it's advisable to schedule in advance of your stay. Please note the following limitations:
1. Trail rides are scheduled Sunday-Friday; the barns are closed on Saturdays.
2. We offer rides for ages 10 and up and for riders 230 lbs and less. Younger riders can take "fun lessons" at the barn, which include fun riding games and a mini trail ride.
