Positive: The host is super chill. Played the flute for us, and cooked us a cool old-school dinner at the indoor hearth with local fish and produce. The house is back in the rural countryside, surrounded by farms and mountainsides.
Negative: Only downside is multiple groups of guests can visit, and since the rooms are only separated by a shoji screen. On our visit, some guys from Hong Kong showed up in the evening, then went out for 'dinner' and didn't roll back home until 2AM. Then they snored drunkenly all night long -- we were sleeping a meter away from them and the snoring was crazy. Aside from that, it's a chill property in the countryside and a fairly unique experience.
Summary: Old-school rural countryside experience with a cool owner
