Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Nice big space if you have the entire apartment to yourself, there's also a garden with playhouse if the weather is OK. Very welcoming and accommodating host family. Each bedroom has a bathroom. Some staples provided in the kitchen, which was reasonably well equipped.

Negative: Not super easy to get to, you need to drive across a couple of very narrow and slightly worrying bridges. The beds and couches are all very old, noisy and uncomfortable, to the point where moving in your sleep made enough noise from the springs to wake you up. The apartment is also attached to the main family home via a door in the kitchen and you can hear all their comings and goings and conversations, from when the kids wake up around 0600. Also felt bad for the poor dog that spends all day in a bare, filthy pen with apparently little to no interaction with the family. The heating also seems to only be on for a couple of hours per day.

Summary: Spacious and cheap but uncomfortable.
