Positive: The hosting was impeccable from start to finish. We were looked after and heard at every turn, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Villa Danica itself is stunning, the pool and setting exceeded our expectations, and the listing photos were a great representation of what’s actually there. It’s also a fantastic base for exploring the region, with Bosnia and Herzegovina close by and well worth the detour for anyone staying here.
Negative: The only thing outside the hosts’ control was full flexibility over the air conditioning, which runs on a set schedule tied to the property’s solar and battery system rather than a switch you can adjust yourself. It’s a nice reflection of how sustainably the place is run, and once we understood the rhythm of it, it wasn’t an issue.
Summary: Impeccable hosting in a stunning setting, five stars all round.
