Positive: Peaceful Beach Stay – Perfect for Dogs and Nature Lovers We stayed in a private house located between Shengjin and Velipoja, close to the beach, and had a wonderful experience. I was traveling with my girlfriend and our dog, and it turned out to be the perfect place for us. The property was very dog-friendly, with a spacious garden where our dog could run and play freely. He especially loved being able to go up onto the roof and watch over the surroundings — it became his favorite spot! Because we felt so peaceful and comfortable there, we actually decided to extend our stay beyond what we originally planned. We visited at the end of February and were lucky with the weather — sunny and pleasant during the day. The area is incredibly quiet and beautiful. It’s hard to describe it as a typical village; instead, it feels more like scattered houses stretching toward the beach. What made the experience even more unique was the rural atmosphere. Chickens (including baby chicks), pigs, cows, goats, and other animals were walking freely around the area — even along the beach, which was completely empty during our stay. It felt authentic and untouched. There aren’t many places open during this season, but we found a great restaurant called Preka la Mer, offering very good fish and local products at fair prices. There is also a supermarket nearby, although we didn’t need to use it. Apart from a few locals farming and living in the area, it was very peaceful with almost no tourists around. If you're looking for tranquility, nature, and a dog-friendly place near a quiet beach, this is a perfect choice.
