Positive: First of all it needs to be said that this is going to be a very fair review. When travelling to Pizzo, understand that the majority of accommodations are located on the hillside in a private suite which wonโ€™t really have a proper, full address. The address given to you will be a rough location but good luck finding the place. If you arrive hot and sweaty and short on patience, please just try to remember that this is just the way Pizzo is. Such was my luck when I arrived. I actually was given a โ€œroughโ€ location and then parked my car trying to look for the place but then incurred a parking ticket because of it (I was only away from my vehicle a few minutes trying to look for the B&B, and this isnโ€™t their fault but still: better explanation of the exact location needs to be given). The location of the suite is actually behind a square which is behind a restaurant on the main Marinaside road called โ€œCoralliniโ€ on the marina side (low level) of Pizzo. There is a parking lot about 5 minutesโ€™ walk away (but I didnโ€™t know that prior). If youโ€™re lucky you can get street parking. The suite itself is just as was mentioned in the ad, and Maria is a lovely host who offered a beach umbrella and allowed me to check in early. That was very gracious of her. The suite itself has paper thin walls and I could easily hear the the German couple and their screaming infant in the suite right next door. When I was there the internet did not work at all. Outside the building I could use my data however. Also I have to say that the shower did not have hot water. The suite is right next to the stairs which leads up to the Centro Historico. Expect to walk here. There are some good restaurants very close by, one which Maria suggested was actually very good (Nostrano). The suite is tastefully decorated and I know Maria has put a lot of effort into making this a positive experience for her guests. Given all of the above however, Iโ€™d rate it a 3/5 only.
Negative: no internet, difficult to find the place, no hot water, paper thin walls. People smoke next door and you can smell it in the suite.
