Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Beautiful location in the vineyards of Barcos. A peaceful rural setting with very spacious, comfortable accommodations and a pool. About a 30-minute drive to Pinhao and the Douro River Valley -- definitely worth the travel time. The staff were very helpful providing breakfast in the morning and with suggestions for local dining options. The vineyard owner offered us a private wine tasting and his ambitions for bringing his lower-alcohol content, small output wines to market. Would highly recommend this Quinta to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the valley.
