Positive: This is a very beautiful property with lovely furnishings - very comfortable and a real pleasure to stay there. It is located on a spectacular site overlooking the Douro. This must be one of the best views in the whole area. We arranged for dinner on the day we arrived and this excellent. Our host was very helpful at all times.
Negative: There was nothing that we didn't like. We do suggest that the hotel might stock a few more port wines for that evening apero. Visitors should also be aware that the drive to Pinhao is about 30 minutes: this was not an issue for us, but just bear in mind that staying in this spectacular location means that you are a little distance away from restaurants, shops, etc.
Summary: Spectacular location and beautiful hotel makes the journey well worthwhile. Brilliant!
