Positive: Really comfortable bed, the waterfall at the bottom of the property was absolutely amazing. I have to say the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I would happily stay here again. If they ever decided to install a sauna and/or cold plunge it would mean the difference between me staying for 2 weeks instead of 2 nights.
Negative: Miscommunication around there being a gym. Initially got told there would be a gym open in several months. Then walked past a fully-functional gym with people working out in it. When I raised this I was told it was only open to friends of the owner, which obviously wasn’t true as I spoke to them and they ended up just being other guests. Didn’t really make any sense. Especially considering it’s a 5-star hotel you think it would already have basic amenities like a gym operating in the hotel without me feeling like I’m breaking the rules by using it.
Summary: Hidden Gem just outside of Ubud.
