Positive: The Nadira compound and the apartment I had there is clean and quiet. My studio flat was on the ground floor and looked out on the big pool. The pool is a natural salt pool, which I personally love and believe is better for the environment than chemical pools. I could have stayed on that patio and by that pool all days for days. (And I'm actually not a pool person, but a beach fan, so that's saying something.) The studio suite was equipped with everything I needed, e.g. excellent washing machine and dry rack, good new towels, quality bedding and mattress, and available cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials. Mr. Sami, who is the property manager as well as heads up the many ongoing development projects at Nadira. He and his staff could not have been more kind, welcoming, and endearing. The security throughout the compound is top-notch, with 24-hour foot patrols and surveillance cameras covering every corner, and security at the front entrance and the beach side entrance. The other guests were peaceful and pleasant. The complex is currently undergoing several large developments. The Phase 1 section is finished and is where I stayed. Since it was completed recently, features like stone countertops, floors, landscaping, and neutral tones give the space a fresh and crisp feel, reducing potential irritations and making my stay very comfortable. I only wish I could have stayed longer.
Negative: It’s difficult to come up with suggestions for improvement. I guess if I had to say one minor thing that would have been nice to have is a sheer drapery in addition to the blackout curtains provided for the French door windows leading out to the patio. At night, I would like to be able to have some sort of drapery that would obscure a clear view inside for privacy reasons while still allowing light from the outside in. Also, it would have been nice if the drapes could close to the sides of the glass doors instead of the center. Like I said, it's a minor and somewhat random suggestion, and only because I love having as much natural light as possible without feeling like my privacy is vulnerable.
Summary: The ideal set-up that has left me plotting my return.
