Heating throughout the whole and two fireplaces. It also has Wifi.
In the outer area of Can Vicens a large garden of more than 2000m2 with a large porch with barbecue equipped with small fridge, dishwasher and toilet, where you can eat all together. A fenced pool, 8 ร— 4 for the exclusive use of guests, a small pond with geese, football area with two goals; swings, slide, table tennis table. The house has ample space for parking.

Summary: Stayed here 5 years ago - 4 adults and 3 kids under 10 years. 5 Years on and they still recall the sound of the cow bells as a stampede would hurtle by them and they had to take refuge in the hut supplied for the purpose. Don't let that scare you, it's a safe place, and it might have been a little slower than your average stampede.... Spacious accommodation, wonderful historic building, in the typical architecture of the region. Clean, great kitchen and loads of bedrooms but we spent our time outdoors, dining poolside on the picnic tables, using the amazing wood burning BBQ with the wood replenished every day by the owners. Fantastic for kids. Could get hot at night. Plug in fans helped but were noisy. Quiet local area. Couple of local restaurants were fine serving typical local cuisine. Found an amazing restaurant on our last night but all eating out is a drive away for practical purposes. Long drive 10k or more to nearest supermarket or grocery. Everything a drive away but being in the heart of the country is nice. About half an hour to the beach but the lido on the lake at Banyoles is really charming and a great place for swims and coffees or beers. Banyoles and historic towns within half an hour. Vic is a magical place particularly and i cant recall the name of the other town beginning with B which had a big medieval style drawbridge (not really but that effect) to it. It was fantastic too. Pool really fab and property really well maintained. Great for access from either Barcelona or Gerona and both well worth a day trip or overnight. Charming owners even if their English was less than our poor Spanish!
