Positive: Nicely located in a newly-built neighborhood in the north of Lijiang. The B&B is located close to a row of restaurants and about 10-15 minutes' walk to Shuhe ancient town. Nearby bus connections on the main road and near Lijiang tourism university. Direct view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The apartment is spacious and equipped with basics for a pleasant stay in addition to A/C and windows with screens. The rooms are very clean. Our host was incredibly kind and friendly, helped answer all of our questions in detail, and was ready to give excellent advice as to what attractions were worthwhile to visit. Service was excellent and high-quality. He responds to messages quickly and gave us a view into local life in Lijiang. Overall a wonderful stay.
Negative: The apartments themselves are separate from the kitchen and balcony. The kitchen (well-equipped) is shared and located at the bottom of the building, and the balcony is on the first floor of the building (also with a lovely view). Machines for laundry are located in a separate building at the center of the housing complex. Availability of facilities did not impact on the stay, however. The main train station is also a little far away, but it is easy to get to by public bus or taxi.
