Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: A genuine country cottage in a very isolated village lost in the mountains. Nicely renovated and well furnished in a traditional style. Very comfortable, with a nice kitchen where we prepared our own meals, and ate on the patio in the shade of the lemon tree. A nice touch was the olive oil and jug of raki on arrival.

Negative: Very difficult to find - firstly the village itself, then the house. The instructions were in Greek, which didn't help. I would suggest the owner gives the name of the village in English, plus a sketch map of how to find the property in the maze of tiny streets! Be aware there is no shop and no taverna! The nearest are 40 mins drive away! Bring everything you might need. I would like a bracket in the bathroom for the shower head please!

Summary: A lovely traditional cottage in a quiet deserted village way up i the mountains.
