Positive: The room was nice and the street was quiet.
Negative: When I booked, the main picture for the property showed a view of the palais de papes which was the reason we booked here instead of at some of the nicer options or options with other amenities. When we arrived, the view as advertised, didn't exist and we could barely see the top of the palais. It was very disappointing especially since this was the reason we stayed there. During the stay, we could only reach the host during certain hours because nobody was on site throughout the night as we had expected. When we needed things like a wine opener, we had to wait until the following day which also took away from the experience we had hoped for. We planned to spend out evenings sitting on the rooftop terrace with the view and a glass of wine. There were also candles on the terrace but no lighter which we also had to request and then wait a day or so to get. I complained about the view the first night. After our stay, I again reached out and all they offered was a discount on a future stay instead of discounting the stay we had. Even if I didn't live outside of the country or I planned on going back to Avignon, I wouldn't want to stay there again without the view, I would stay at one of the other beautiful, less expensive places with more amenities.
