Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Peaceful location, with good views. Easy parking, and access to the property. Fishing lake on the property, although this wasn't in the initial listing so didn't know about it until arrival. It was nice to arrive and find some essentials in the kitchen, like plum bread and milk etc. Water pressure was good, although the water is on a bore hole, so had a very distinct smell and taste. It says in the arrival handbook that it is filtered and safe to drink though.

Negative: Initial impressions were good, although when we first entered the property there were lots of spider webs, and spiders in the rooms, and a damp smell in the toilet room. There was a control knob missing from the oven when we arrived, and we had no contact with the owners until the 3rd day when Martin arrived at 07.00 with the replacement. Martin was a polite host though.
