Summary: This apartment was outstanding. It was in the mix of the hustle and bustle of Paris, has a wonderful view across the Hotel de Ville to Notre Dame, has a metro stop 5 metres from the front door. Yet the apartment was secure and quiet. There is a cookie shop below the apartment and the wonderful smell wafted up occasionally.We travelled with our 2 teenage sons and the apartment was perfect for all of us. Plenty of space, well organised, lots of character, clean and very comfortable.Jean-Michel is a very organised and responsive host. He was a pleasure to deal with.I have never stayed in the Marais district but it was fantastic. So close to everything. I will definitely look to stay here again the next opportunity we have to return to Paris.Tip: stairs to the first level and then there is a small lift. If you have a very heavy suitcase, make sure you can lift it up stairs yourself.
