Georgioupolis is a popular seaside resort located 40km east of Chania ,20km west of Rethymnon and 4km from the only natural,freshwater lake in Crete, Kournas lake . It is a small coastal town, situated in a lush valley filled with rivers and springs. The town lies on the western edge of a vast long beach with 10km length.
