Positive: Isov ranch has a very picturesque location, directly on the Peaks of the Balkans trail. In the night it gets quiet and dark making up for a good nights sleep. The hosts asked us in the morning if we were cold, but we weren’t at all. The hosts are the kindest people we have met on the trail. They serve dinner and breakfast at their family house, which is very close by. The portions were really generous, so we were able to restore our energy from the hike. Both during dinner and also breakfast they sat down with us and talked, we really enjoyed the conversations with them. You can see that they are passionate about what they do and enjoy meeting people from all around the world. We would definitely recommend to stay at their place. Keep in mind that you are in a remote area - the hut is quite basic, but you have comfy beds and a working bathroom!
Negative: If you have ‘neighbours’ either downstairs or upstairs, you can easily hear everything, so bring earplugs. As others said the water pressure in the shower could use some work, but we were still happy that we could enjoy (finally) a warm shower!
Summary: Definitely recommend staying here! You will meet some amazing hosts:)
