Negative: We stayed at the hotel from August 8-12, and unfortunately, an incident on August 11 significantly affected our experience.We went to enjoy the pool and sauna that afternoon. After spending some time in the pool, I noticed that my bathing suit had changed colour, and both of us experienced significant burning and irritation in our eyes. Once I got out of the pool, I was shocked to see that my navy blue bathing suit had become almost completely discoloured, turning a very light, skin-like colour.I also developed a rash and spots under my arm, and when I returned to my room, I noticed what appeared to be chemical burn marks on my skin. I took photographs of both my skin and the damaged bathing suit and immediately reported the situation to the front desk.The staff member contacted her manager, and the pool was subsequently closed.What was most disappointing, however, was the complete lack of follow-up. Despite reporting a situation involving skin irritation, apparent chemical burns, eye irritation, and significant damage to my bathing suit, no one contacted us afterward to check our well being.I understand that unexpected incidents can happen, and I appreciate that the pool was closed once the issue was brought to the hotel's attention. However, I would have expected some level of communication, concern, and follow-up from management-particularly when guests have experienced a potentially serious health and safety issue.Aside from the bathing suit, What concerns me most is that I experienced a physical reaction and apparent chemical burns, reported the incident immediately, and received no follow-up whatsoever. From a guest's perspective, that was extremely disappointing and made us feel that our well-being was not taken seriously.I would still appreciate a response from hotel management and an explanation of what happened with the pool, as well as some acknowledgement of the lack of follow-up.
