Our house at the edge of the city St Vith is the venue for a romantic stay: in the middle of spruces and directly next two large fish-ponds, a rustic restaurant, embraced with wood and of course a fire place. Large comfortable rooms and a belgian kitchen with regional dishes. Breakfast is served every morning. The "Steineweiher" is worth a visit. Our hotel has a beautiful flowered terrace directly by the lake. We offer gastronomical weekends in springtime, summer, autumn and winter. Positive: Great location Spacious acceptable rooms with comfortable beds Off road car parking Country location but near the centre of town Variety of fresh food for breakfast options. Good quality coffee
Negative: Unfortunately there were a number of misunderstandings between the owner and us about evening meal in the restaurant. Sufficient to say that there was, at the very least, a language barrier that led to us waiting for two hours after our placing our order for our evening meal. The view of management was that they had accommodated us without a reservation while we felt that it would have been much more helpful if management had told us there was no chance of a meal in the restaurant on the evening we stayed. We could then have found a local restaurant in the town to eat at. It’s unfortunate that these misunderstandings led to an unsatisfactory experience as every thing else in our overnight stay was excellent
