Summary: Excellent value and location. We were hikers looking for a decent hotel for one night and this hotel was perfect. The room at the back of the hotel had a great view of the citadel, which was a bonus. The rooms are being renovated so I have no doubt that this will be an even better place to stay in future. Ours was a little tired and the hard floor transmitted sound easily but the bed was very comfortable and we had an excellent night’s sleep. The breakfast was excellent so do book it as it is an extra. Pastries, breads, meats, cheese, fruit juices, yoghurts, cereals, and a selection of hot drinks - it was much better than many places we have stayed, and we enjoyed it very much.
