Positive: We've stayed here a few times before, but this time the hotel was full, so you'd expect a bit more stress. But, there was none. Reception was friendly, helpful and generally flawless. We had a problem with the air con (user error, it turns out) and this was resolved promptly and courteously (how she refrained from pointing out that it was user error is beyond me). The room was spotless, cool and generally quiet. I'd probably avoid room 119 in the future though as it's next to the main stairs - though actually that wasn't a problem on this occasion.

Negative: I'd phoned ahead and asked for a couple of things, but this didn't work at all and that call was basically a waste of time. Shame. The bar was a complete shambles due to a software issue - but there is a massive Tesco nearby, so we popped round there and bought drinks and snacks for a fraction of the price.

Summary: Good stay even in a packed hotel
