The cottage has a room on the 2nd floor with beds which can be offered as a king-size double or twins and there is also a sofa bed. On the first floor is a double and a super king-size double (zip/link, can be twin on request), along with a bathroom and an additional basin and WC. Downstairs is a kitchen, dining room with open fire and a sitting room with open fire and on the lower ground floor is a games room with multi-use games table with pool and table tennis and dart board. There is also storage for bikes etc. in the cellar. Off road parking is available in a yard opposite the property, and there is a communal, front, riverside, grassed park with benches. Gilchrist House offers easy access to both the Dales and the Lakes national parks, making it a wonderful year-round base to explore the area. Note: There are 5 steep steps leading to one of the cottage entrances.
