Positive: This house is in the middle of nowhere, about 10 km south of Itacare and 2.5km from the next beach. And this location is the exact reason why I booked it. It was great to be in the forrest and to enjoy the nature and calmness. The best idea is to arrive by car. I travelled solo and used taxis from Itacare but you have to order them in advance. The administrator also offered a local number for a person who could take you from there. The house has everything you need (even a water filter) and the only things you need to bring are your own food, insect repellent, candles and matches and personal hygiene products).
Negative: The area had several days with winds and rains and the internet and electricity were down for 2 days. I had no way to contact anybody about this and afterwards, they told me that I could have used a plan B in the city - but then again, how do you contact anyone if everything is down? Unfortunately, this also meant that the fridge did not work and the food got bad. It's not a good idea to stay there if you plan to work. Also, there are many insects and the owner does not have mosquito nets in the windows, so they enter day and night and I got bitten quite a lot. In the end, the administrator offered me some insect repellents but I'm not sure why they do not put mosquito nets.
Summary: Great choice in the middle of nowhere if you don't depend on the internet
