GUERNÉGUY - picturesque, Breton thatched roof house - was built in 1968 from an abandoned, 250-year-old forest house. Surrounded by meadows, on three sides by its own, it is idyllically situated on the edge of a large forest (forêt domanial de Clohars-Carnoët) only 8 km from the Atlantic Ocean, with very good infrastructure on the way there. The relaxing effect of this unique, wonderful vacation spot is due to the mild sea climate, the Gulf Stream. A downright magical place to unwind.
The weather on the south coast of Brittany is much nicer than inland and on the north coast. Gulf stream, updrafts and last but not least the high pressure areas of the Azores that still reach this coastline give this part of Brittany between Benodet and La Baule the Mediterranean character (2200 hours of sunshine a year, north coast: 1700). *
Everyone can enjoy their vacation as they want: hiking along the coast on well-kept hiking trails, with a view of the ocean, rugged rocks, lovely sandy bays, endless sandy beaches, impressive flora and fauna; through the forest or along the Rias (fjords) with an unprecedented variety, on foot (many hundreds of kilometers: "Grandes Randonées"), by bike or mountain bike (partially restricted); Swimming, diving, sailing or surfing; Riding or golfing; visit the zoo in Pont Scorff (Lorient); Shopping in the numerous markets and feasting at home or in one of the many restaurants, from Breton crepes to fresh seafood; Laze on the sunbathing area at the house or on the sofa in front of the stove; admire the Hinkelsteine or stroll through the picturesque, sometimes medieval towns in the area and much more!
GUERNÉGUY is ideal as a holiday home for up to two families with children. The house is cozy (wooden beams, antique rustic furniture) and at the same time offers the advantages of a modern house, a very well equipped kitchen (Miele dishwasher), modern bathroom - (Miele Novotronic washing machine). Three night power storage heaters, two (!!) energy-efficient stoves ensure uncomplicated comfort. The new composite windows and doors from the German company "Schüco" have been selected in such a way that the rustic charm of the house is retained, but at the same time they meet the latest standards in terms of sound and windproofness. Paradise for children: outdoor games, swing, sandpit, tree house, pure nature, indoor games, as well as swing, rung ladder, toys, duplo, extensive game collection, pirate ship .... .

With 170 m² of living space, the house also offers enough space for several children! The 73 m² “living room”, each with a fireplace on the front, a large solid wood dining table, the antique original Breton furniture, a buffet cabinet, two bench seats, two chests and with a modern, inviting seating area gives the house its inimitable character.
Here is the large stereo system for watching movies, listening to music (blue-ray, DVD, CD player, video, all formats); Electric piano, internet radio, internet connection (ethernet); no WiFi, no TV reception.
The stairs of the living room lead to the attic with its large hallway - ideal for children (with staircase child lock) - and the three large bedrooms (24, 18 and 11 m²).
