Positive: The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. They will look things up or book things for you, communicating by WhatsApp. The place has a rustic charm and an unforgettable scent of citrus blossom in spring. The quality of the food and wine were excellent. The room was really comfortable. Gorgeous little swimming pool - freezing, but it was braved! Breakfast was lovely. Wild flowers everywhere.

Negative: All minor! Looked like they were just getting ready for the summer season (same with most of Catania). Garden beds a bit weedy, the main swimming pool was out of commission, very green fish pond with unhappy fish. A kettle in the rooms would have been welcome and you were not allowed to take glasses back, despite having a fridge and gorgeous little verandah to use. It was very hard to find a good cup of black tea. Restaurant is expensive, with very few options for kids and doesn’t open until 7.30.
