Close to the beach and to a handful of local tavernas, this wonderful property is a great choice for those who value peace, tranquillity and, of course, spectacular sunsets. With pine forests in the background and the glorious sapphire waters of the Mediterranean laid out in front, this villa is a peach of a property, enjoying the quiet life yet with amenities close by. In keeping with local tradition, the exterior is a charming blend of local stone and dazzling white render, however its unusual and attractive U-shape design has created the perfect setting for the modern outdoor lifestyle. At the heart of the courtyard area created by the house’s two wings is a stunning kidney-shaped infinity pool that perfectly reflects the colours of the sky. A whirlpool section offers a chance to really unwind as you watch the sun go down or admire the magnificent night sky. Outdoor seating and dining furniture are thoughtfully placed within the courtyard area to benefit not only from the lovely view but also from welcome shade at various points of the day. Beyond the pool is a sun terrace with a row of comfy sun loungers where you can lie back in the sunshine with a good book or perhaps play your favourite music through your headphones. Inside, the villa is fresh, bright and very tastefully furnished. Two sets of vast sliding glass doors bring the outside right into the spacious lounge and dining area, a sumptuous salon-style room with luxurious white leather sofas, gleaming ceramic floor tiles and a few select pieces of artwork. On evenings when a barbecue feels a little too casual, the magnificent, highly polished dining table with leather seating for twelve is a perfect choice for a more formal supper or a celebration dinner party.
The fabulous contemporary kitchen and breakfast room has delightful views through its multiple picture windows and includes a handy breakfast bar and the latest appliances. In the nearby resorts of Latchi and Polis you can stock up on fresh local produce and try your hand at some local dishes, perhaps inspired by a visit to one or two of Argaka’s local tavernas. The lovely bedrooms are all on the ground floor, three boasting modern ensuite wet rooms and one with a separate shower room. All have comfortable king size beds, ample storage and satellite TV. On the lower ground floor is an appealing games room, complete with a full-size pool table, table tennis table and table football. It’s perfect for keeping more competitive guests entertained and there’s a handy WC and mini kitchen to ensure the beers stay chilled during those more challenging matches. The house even has a steam room which you can use.
It’s just a short drive into the main village and beach and there are a number of well-regarded restaurants along the beach front. The harbour town of Latchi is only a few kilometres further round the bay and offers a wide choice of eateries, bars, shops and activities, including snorkelling and scuba diving trips and a variety of cruises to enjoy the island’s clear, turquoise waters. This villa comes highly recommended, especially for a family with older children or friends holidaying together.
