The municipality of Moëlan comprises a 14 km long, varied coastal strip, characterized by many small fjords, the Rias, whose banks are densely wooded.

The long-distance hiking trail GR 34 leads for many kilometers along the coast and offers many beautiful viewpoints. Nearby are the famous painter's city of Pont-Aven, the port city of Concarneau with its fortress built into the sea and the Breton city of Quimperlé with its beautiful old town. These surrounding villages, made famous by the German writer Jean-Luc Bannalec, are well worth a visit.
